I also can't wait! I dont' know of a source for Japanese goods anywhere in my entire state. There is an Asian grocery store 45 miles away, but they focus mostly on Malaysian products- which is also good, but I am really looking forward to being able to order bento box supplies and other things from Ichiban Kan online.

I'm very much looking forward to your online store, too. I visited your SF store several years ago, and I was very sorry I couldn't spend more time there.

(I'm still kicking myself for not buying a hand-cranked paper shredder you had there in orange plastic. I've looked for it online since then and never found it.)

Thanks for a fond memory of our SF store! We cannot recall whether we still carry the paper shredder you mentioned, but will let our Purchasing Team know.

I can't wait for the online store to open. I live in Michigan where I cannot find any bento gear. Thanks to Biggie for informing everyone on the new date of April 1st. I'll be online the first day to see what's available to purchase.

Yippee! Happy Birthday to me. April 1st is my birthday so I'll be buying myself some bento goodies. I'm in Arizona and the Japanese market near me doesn't sell hardly any Bento stuff (a couple of boxes). I've found a few things at the Mitsuwa in San Diego, but not much. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed things go live on the 1st!

I've been getting lots of reader feedback on my posts about Ichiban Kan and the great bento and cooking gear I pick up there. You have fans all over the globe who are anxiously awaiting your online store; looking forward to seeing what you put together!

I know I'll be shopping first thing on April 1! Thank you for moving forward with this project.

I'm sure I'll be a regular customer as well. I'm in FL and although we have Asian markets here, no good source for bento gear or other more specifically Japanese goods. I'll keep your blog bookmarked and will look forward to "opening day" of your online store! :)

I learned about your shop from Biggie's blog, and I'm so excited that the online store is going ahead as planned. ^_^ Thank you for offering your products to those of us who can't get to one of your stores (like me, I live in upstate NY).

Like everyone else I'm very excited to hear about the online store! Ebay is too expensive and I need some new bentos for my kids and I! I live in Wisconsin and I have a Japanese store about an hour from here that I shop at once a month; but the rarely carry bento stuff. I'll definately be ready to order some stuff on April 1st! I always wondered why no one else in the US thought of this before!

Jeannette said...

Thank goodness...I've been waiting for AGES for the online store to open! Ebay prices are KILLING me. I can't wait to have some fair pricing for my bento purchases!

Anonymous said...

Canadian shipping please! :D. Excited about your launch,. I learned of you, like so many others at Lunch in a Box. Good luck, sounds like you have a lot of eager online customers already! Ebay IS too expensive!

How exciting! I'd heard about this type of thing a few years ago- but I NEVER thought it'd be here. T-T And an online store??! WOW! <3 I can't wait to tell my friends and community!!

I almost fell off my chair when I read this! I'm so excited~. I can't wait to start ordering things. ^_^

I can't wait to see your site and start ordering bento supplies!!! I have been ordering from jlist.com and ebay sellers, and I am really excited to have a source that works out to hopefully be a little cheaper or at least have a better variety. I'm holding off on placing another ebay order in anticipation of your online store opening. Best of luck to you in getting it up and running!

P.S.-- like many other posters, I learned about your company from the Lunch in a Box blog :)

Please please please ship internationally. I live in the south of France and am desperate for bento gear! I will send you wine and cheese in return! :) PS. And yes, I am another Lunch in a Box'er
