Oh, y'all are worth waiting for!
(The downtime is saving me money, I think.... no Ichiban Kan to shop at, no new credit card charges this week =P )

I'm very glad you are back up, but I am confused. One of the reasons mentioned for the downtime was a "massive inventory update". It sounded as if you were planning on uploading a whole bunch of new items. I am sure I was not the only one excited by this prospect. I was very distressed to see no new items, and some (that I know weren't out of stock last Friday) out of stock this afternoon. Am I early, or did I misunderstand?
I didn't take it that way (although new items would be nice :) I took it as maybe they needed to do inventory and then make sure they have the correct amounts listed for their items. I never toook it as they were down to to adding new inventory especially as they just had a new shipment
I still can't get the shopping cart to work. It won't delete items and it won't let me check out (just takes me back to the main page). I've cleared the cache as instructed. I guess it's not fixed yet?
@Scout -I don' see "massive inventory update" mentioned anywhere on their blog or the shop.
I do believe that the message indicated that maintenance was being done on the back end to alleviate functionality issues. At least, that is what the blog says.
It was one of the many different messages shown on the home page during the past few days. Apparently I was wrong, but judging from the first comment here at least, I wasn't the only one to misunderstand.
I didn't mean to sound like an intemperate woman *grins*, but I was VERY frustrated. Still am. Don't you hate it when they sell out of stuff you were especially wanting? :)
Any hint as to when you'll be re-stocking or adding new items?

I know that you cannot please all the people all the time and stuff sells out but it is frustrating when on the Ichiban home page it has links for "new" items and top ranked items but they are sold out. I personally think it would be nice if the item could be removed from website when it is sold out and or no longer available. Otherwise it is just a big tease!
They try to keep it cleaned up, but sometimes they get more in, so it'd be a pain to take everything out and have to put it back in again when it comes back into stock :/
