Farewell

Ichiban Kan Online Store closed effective July 7, 2009. We, the online staff at Ichiban Kan as well as the rest of our employees would like to thank you for shopping through our web store. Online store closure will in no way affect our retail locations in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Our customer service staff will take care of any issues with your orders until July 28, 2009. To contact us, simply reply to the order or shipping confirmation email.

We will dearly miss you all. Thank you so much for many heart-warming comments through our online message form, on the blog, facebook and twitter during the past two weeks. We are sorry if you could not buy a complete set of a particular lunch box product line as we were closing. We transferred all stocks of popular items at the warehouse to the online store in order to prepare for a high volume of last orders; however, some items sold out quicker than others as usual...

As for our blog, facebook and twitter, we are trying to find somebody who can maintain our accounts.

We again thank you for your business. When we re-open, please do come back and buy more. ;)

I hate to read this.... I was starting to get everyone working at the school I work at on the Bento Wagon. I do hope you will reconsider your online business.

So very sad to hear. This was one of my favorite online stores. Living in a place with absolutely no other choices for bento gear, your online store gave me a glimmer of hope. You will be sorely missed. :(

I'm sorry to hear this, I really loved you store and prices. If you ever come back, even if you have to increase prices a few dollars to make the online store feasible, I would be fine. You'd still be cheaper than everyone on the internet! D: And that's the only way I can get bento gear! Bye Ichiban Kan, you guys were my favorite store. :(

I'm so sorry to hear that the online store has closed. I hope it will re-open again soon. It is difficult to find these items where I live and other online stores are soo expensive. Even if y'all increased your prices, you'd still be the best shopping deal on the internet for these types of items.

I really wish I checked the site more often. There were so many things I had left in my cart to purchase. I hope the final sentence "when we re-open" is true -- that you will definitely reopen! And I hope it happens soon.

I thought of your store when I read the recent New York Times article http://www.nytimes.com/2009/09/09/dining/09bento.html about the growing popularity of bento style lunches. I still haven't been able to find a place to buy these types of items in my corner of the USA. I hope you will reopen the online store soon.

I know its sad, but I still come back to this site in the hopes that you have reopened. I feel like my favorite puppy ran away and all I can do is check out the window every so often to see if it returns. :(

I had plan to order things from your online store while researching things for bento box lunches for my child. I do hope you do re-open your online store in the future (I reside on the East Coast).
